Gilmore Girls: Boring! What the heck even happened? I thought both Emily and Richard were seriously out of character, especially in their treatment of Lorelai during dinner. I know Emily is angry with her for staying away, but I thought it went over the line of good taste, and Emily's always been proud of her good taste. I also think the elder Gilmores would be be slightly more restrained in their joy over Rory/Logan, no matter how much of an improvement over Dean he is socially. And the preview? Why are they hinting that Lorelai is pregnant? Why can't she and Luke just decide like mature adults to get married or move in together or whatever they're going to do? I would hate having a baby force the issue. I think it would be interesting, to compare grown-up Lorelai's reaction to teen-Lorelai's reaction to pregnancy and a baby, but I'd prefer to have her and Luke committed to each other first, rather than having the commitment come in response to a baby.
House: I'm gonna have to take a stand and say that I *liked* Cameron in this episode. She's never really been coy about the fact that she's interested in House, although the way she initially brought it up was very eighth-grade. She pursued him steadily until she realized that he wasn't going to let her in. Then she gave up on what seemed to be an impossible situation. House coming to her door was a signal to Cameron that he does have some kind of personal feelings for her; why else would he want her instead of a less irritating replacement? So what the heck? Why not go for the gold? I'm all for her trying to get to know House in a more intimate way, since she is interested. The only thing that bothers me is the employer-employee relationship. Although I don't think either Chase or Foreman would honestly be worried about House giving Cameron preferential treatment, since he treats everyone horribly anyhow. And if it doesn't work out, she can quit again, if they can't manage some kind of decent working relationship. Anyway. I'm liking Cameron at the moment. She's a female character who is nice and straightforward and strong at the same time, and you don't get a lot of those.
Veronica Mars: I don't even have to cut this, because all I can say is OMG!!! Next Tuesday will arrive both too slowly and too quickly. Thank god there's a season two to look forward to!

On a more personal note, the tension is rising, both at school and in my back muscles. I'm trying to squeeze in particle physics in my physics class, and we don't have quite enough time. Four of my six students in there are seniors, so their exams need to be ready by next week. I don't have enough time to review particles and test them on that and *then* make a separate semester exam before Wednesday. [The shiatsu machine just hit a particularly hinky spot on my back. Oh. My. God.] Add in the fact that I'm trying to videotape this same class for one of my certification projects, and you've got a mess. I can't even deal with the chemistry classes and those seniors. Fourteen more days with the students. Somewhere in there I need to get my yearbook and get all the kids to sign it. Since this will be my last year teaching at this school, and possibly anywhere ever.
I finally made an appointment with my hairdresser for Saturday, so that source of stress will be gone. Seriously, I have the split ends from hell, my bangs are hanging on the sides of my face, and I can't take it anymore. The kids have better haircuts than I do. I'm thinking about getting my hair dyed for the first time ever. We'll see what my hairdresser has to say about it, and how much it is. Right now I'm blonde with ashy undertones, and I'm getting tired of looking grey and drawn. I'd like to be strawberry blonde instead.
Okay. All I'm doing now is staring at the screen. Time to say good night, Gracie.
