hmm i don't go to NYU. but deciding what you want to do early in life is great. But at 13, i wouldn't really worry about it. I would just have fun being a teenager because the hard work comes later. Plus, your mind is going to change a zillion times.

yeah, at 13 you might be absolutely certain what you want to do with your life, but then it WILL change. It's possible that you will find another college that you love more than NYU. My heart was set on McGill in montreal when i was in 9th grade on, and now i go to SUNY Geneseo and i love it. I never thought i would have ended up here.
To echo what other people have said, that's awesome that you have a plan! But don't be surprised if it changes... don't hold on too hard. I hadn't even HEARD of my college until my junior year of high school. Until about a year and a half ago, I never even thought about what I REALLY wanted in a college
