Autumn and Inglorious Basterds

The weather is getting colder, so the desire to go outside and do stuff is being replaced with the want to stay inside and do stuff. Submitted for your approval, I offer these ideas:

1) Get the L5R tabletop moving again. From what I recall, Thursdays work all right for everyone. Friday is also an option, but it would either require going to Kris' house or having him bring along the children, as Izzy is often out that night. I think at one point people also mentioned not minding it being held on the weekend.

2) Play Risk 2210. Also Arkham Horror.

3) Movie night: Billy Madison and King Pow double-feature?

I saw Inglorious Basterds last night with Kris. We consisted of 1/3 of the audience, which I thought was odd until I realized that the movie had been out for about a month now, and my time had just been devoured by the gaping void-maw of Dragon*Con. The movie itself was pretty kickass. A lot of the scenes seemed really slow, but in the end served to add to the air of paranoia. Tarantino also continued his tradition of showcasing women's feet. Hans Landa was an incredible villain, one I would not have been surprised to see standing shoulder-to-shoulder alongside the likes of Charles Odderstahl and Robert Craft Michael Bolton. Whimsically evil covers but the tip of the iceberg.

I also made this for all your scolding needs.
