Dreams

Has anyone else ever woken up earlier than planned, but late enough to not be able to get back to sleep proper? I woke up this morning but I wasn't done dreaming yet. I dreamt that Puffy was dead and that I was driving a car. There were others, too, many others, but I can't recall. All I do know is that they were a horde of things so mundane ( Read more... )

That happens to me all of the time and I always feel like I get cheated out of sleep. I don't know why I don't just get up, and I always hit the snooze button on the alarm clock to make up for this deficit.

As far as mundane dreams go, Izzy usually always has dreams of getting up in the morning and going about her day...most of my dreams, when I have them, are incredibly fantastical and are never as horrifically mundane as you say yours was.

Yeah, I definately felt cheated. I decided to sleep in an extra fifteen minutes this morning, and that didn't even get to happen. I've had it happen to me before where I wake up early and stubbornly decide "No, I'm sleeping until x." and it usually ends up in this kind of scenario.

I have recently dreamt about the unattainable mundane. I think it's my brain allowing me to do things in my dreams that I want to do in real life, but can't. It is odd to me to be dreaming about these things. And I used to be able to just lay in bed and think if I woke up early, but lately my thoughts are depressing, so I get up and start my morning activities to distract myself.

When you say "Puffy", do you mean Sean Combs?

I hope your dreams get back to being fantastical soon.

I suppose I should rectify 'mundane.' Most of my dreams are mundane, reflecting something that's significant in my life, with splashes of something ridiculous or fantastical. This morning was just populated by things I couldn't possibly care about, and it was maddening that they had absolutely no relevence to me that I could discern.

Yes, Puffy = Sean Combs.

Ah. Mine are usually crazy, so any dreams that are about stuff like just hanging out with people I know are odd to me. I would feel cheated out of dreaming time by little things I didn't care about as well.
