Hm, interesting, I hadn't thought of the Chinese zodiac. My birthday's December of '82, which makes me a water dog by wiki's reckoning.

Look into the Chinese some more. You've got different animals and elements based on time of day, day of week, and time of year. They combine for interesting results.
