Historical super-hero

So, after coming across Time Lincoln and having a great conversation with terra_firma about it, I pose the question to all and sundry: if you could pick an historical figure to star in a super-hero or adventure comic, whom would you pick?

Mata Hari has actually already been featured in Shadow Hearts as a playable character under the pseudonym Margarete Gertrude Zelle.

Basically Shadow Hearts is amazing.

I honestly don't know why Teddy hasn't already had this done!

TJ actually came up when Audrey Fields and I were originally discussing this:

Alex: Hm. I'm not sure whom I would pick.
Thomas Jefferson could be interesting.
It'd probably end up looking a little racist, though.
'Cause he'd be all like "Where da black womens at?"

Audrey: LOL
"i gotsta spread dis liberty-lovin' seed all up in you africans"

Alex: "There's this clause in the constitution. Says I gots ta be the founding baby-daddy of 60% of the African-American population."

Audrey: LOL
they provide the african, i provide the american
giggity

Joseph Campbell would be pretty cool. Probably some kind of myth-wizard or something.

I agree with Teddy, as well, that would be interesting.

Ben Franklin, though, he taught people to fight fires.

Yeah, he always seems to get put in that spot. Rasputin the hero might be a pretty cool read.

Nikolai Tesla.

Wait. Too late.

I second Rasputin.

Oh, snap! Tesla gets a mention in Time Lincoln, as well, when Ben Franklin tells John Adams that there is a rift in space/time and that he's been conversing with the various scientific illuminaires of the ages.
