Outside, the Master finally reveals himself. It was in-tents. Groan! :D
"Cheshire cat, Yates, Cheshire cat." UNIT IS A PACK OF KITTIES. You know, I wold never have the nerve to call UNIT a bunch of pussies...
I just realized: Three is the first Doctor to only have one companion at a time, excluding the UNIT chaps... One had just Susan pre-series and just Steven in The Massacre.
In terms of long-term on-screen adventures, Three is the first to only have one at a time. Taking the Expanded Universe into account, on the other hand...
How did it take me three weeks to realize that this had updated? Sorry about that!
"New Who tends to shy away from revealing the darkest corners of the Doctor's mind, but this one is being nice and giving us some outright."
Huh... good point. For what it's worth, he probably has a lot less darkness at this point.
""You're too delicate for intelligence work, Benton, you'd better go lie down." Too delicate. *Too delicate.* #toodelicate "
HAHAHAHA. Awwww man. Poor Benton. I really really love him in this episode. And you bring up a good point. What is Benton afraid of? I have trouble imagining him being seriously afraid of anything...
UNIT IS A PACK OF KITTIES
Welp, that's a mental image I'm never getting rid of.
"Cargo" is now an innuendo. Thank you, gentlemen.
....and so is that. You know I'm not going to be able to watch Third Doctor episodes again without thinking of Yates and his, erm, Cargo.
Even as Delgado, the Master liked to carry his own soundtrack around with him. #likeabossAmen to that! One of many reasons
( ... )
This post gave me a much-needed laugh. Thank you :3
I imagine if Benton's afraid of anything, it must be some repressed boyhood trauma. Maybe a spider crawled on his face in the schoolyard or something.
Ah yes, The Sea Devils was actually my first Delgado story. And Three basically eats everyone's sandwiches.
It's fun seeing the Brig acting a little un-Brigly every once in a while, like seeing him as a humble husband in the very beginning and end of Battlefield.
Imagine what would happen if the Master ever meet the real John Levene...

Oh wow, I never thought of it that way.

...no...no...that's what I need to say to you. So, perhaps I should really just say "likewise."
"Maybe a spider crawled on his face in the schoolyard or something."
Just like Tolkien!
Three is such a sandwich thief! And just wait till you get to "Day of the Daleks."
It is nice. Not that I ever tire of watching the Brig act Brigly either. Nicholas Courtney, man. Awesome in every way.
...the universe would implode.
