I'm looking forward to the day I finally get to watch this one. A lot of people say it's the weakest Pertwee story (mainly because of the Rick James thing), which is making me very curious. Of course, other people say the title should go to Time Monster and I love that one, so...

I'd say it's worth a watch. I can certainly name other stories I've enjoyed less.

Oh! And I listened to The Prisoner of Peladon a couple weeks ago (it kept me company during an aggravatingly long subway ride to a remote part of Queens). Thank you so much for the recommendation, I quite enjoyed it! Although I did laugh a bit when Peladon asked about Jo and the Sad Violin Music started playing and kind of ruined the moment. Still, I love how they carried that into a Donna-esque "you need someone to stop you" message.

also Alpha Centauri is still the best oh my god

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I loved it that Peladon was telling the story to his baby daughter, because that works as a great bridge between the two televised Peladon tales. It's also a good bridge between The Green Death and The Time Warrior for the aforementioned Donna-esque message, as he'll find one of the best someones very soon.

Poor David, though. Playing Alpha Centauri must have been torture for his vocal cords.

And I only saw it once. I thought it was fine. Not amazing, but fine.
