Yup. *nodnods in agreement* The universe wouldn't care a jot if a million of us were murdered in various horrific ways. It doesn't care when a species goes extinct, it doesn't care when an earthquake levels a city, it doesn't care when a serial rapist destroys several lives in a week. It just continues ticking on. Any claim that our species, our planet is somehow inherently valuable is deluded. Value and ethics cannot be found from without; we must create them for ourselves.
