Here's what I think (for what it is worth)

You don't know if you love someone, right up until you do know. Does that make sense? Probabaly not... What I mean is that I think you just know. Maybe it's something small like the way you feel when you kiss them, or when you are just sitting with them not doing anything, and you are happy.
