whenever i see hardboiled eggs at a corner store, they are .75 . however, they are usually in the refrigerated case with the potato salads and the olives and whatever, not the tissues. so, hm.

That is approximately 50 cents too much. A pack of Kleenex costs 75 cents, so a hard-boiled egg can't cost the same amount, especially if you're going to put them on display in the same basket. That just begs the comparison.
