This is mostly for scratchingpost1 and I, but if you think you might be driving through Ohio at some point, or do so on a regular to semi-regular basis ... pay attention.

I move over anyway. I don't want to even maybe have a chance of hitting someone on the side of the road. Thanks for posting.

Ack, forgot you were in Ohio ... or that this didn't pertain to just Dayton.

Either way, hectic day - end of month craziness!

I think that anti-speed trap law is pretty nice.

I do too, as there are three speed traps by my house.

Almost all those laws are already in effect here in NC. The only one I'm not sure about is the speed trap thingy.

Ohio (or at least the places I've lived in Ohio) are really idiotic with their speed traps. There are three by my house alone, two of which fall into this catagory (going from 45 to 25 in the space of a few feet with a sign that says "Target Enforcement Area").

You've got to be talking about Spinning Rd between Burkhardt and 3rd st (or is it still Col Glenn there?)

Yep. There's a smaller one that goes from 45 to 35 on Woodman between Burkhart and Airway.

I always move over or slow down for anyone on the side of the road.

The thing about the wipers is just stupid. They should just make it a law to always have your lights on. Most cars are made that way anyway. I can't turn my lights off. I have daytime lights and nighttime lights.

The thing with the lights and wipers has been defeated before. With the way the rain is here in Ohio, people would be turning their lights off and on all day long. It's ridiculous.

There's a speed trap close to here. The speed goes from 45 to 25, and they have cameras posted all along that strip of road.
