This is the exact reason that I've spent countless nights sleeping on my old, worn out couch in the office. I'd even rather sleep in hotel rooms most of the time. At least it's a sense of community. It all feels so alone when I'm at home. Quiet is even worse than Christmas music sometimes. It makes me think too much.
And, truth be told, Danny doesn't like me that much; so no, he probably wouldn't tell me anything more. Not that I'd want to know. I'm just saying, I'm happy for you. I hope it works out with you two. It's a shame that a silly thing like someone's job would stand in the way of an important relationship in their life. Sometimes it's too bad that most of our jobs, here in the West Wing, are our lives. So in that sense, it's hard to always determine which is more important: your job, or being able to tell the person you love your best friend in the whole entire world what they mean ( ... )
