Can anybody start a meme? I don't know how the whole etiquette is on these things. If I can't then just pretend that this is a valid question. Okay.
What is the one fic you've always wanted to write? In any fandom, any time? Did someone else write it, or do you still think about it?

Ages ago, I used to watch Stargate SG-1, like way back, the first five or so seasons, and there was one storyline that always bugged me. It was something like the 4th episode and called 'Emancipation'. In here the team meet some idiotic tribesmen who totally sell women around like cattle. So the boys of SG-1 think that this is hugely humorous, and force Carter to dress up in ridiculous outfit, so she won't "insult" the tribesmen. Allright, in the end she gets kidnapped, but it all ends well, yadi daa...
But I was always interested in the other option, what if everything hadn't turned out okay. What if Carter had gotten raped and beaten, and more so dissapointed by her team. All in all she was left behind by her team in hostile soil. And I just always found that incredible, how could there be no consequences? Partly this storyline was born out of my need to bring some knock-on effects on the team through Carter, and also from my interest in exploring that kind of trauma and the subsequent healing.
In my alternative timeline, Carter never told O'Neill or the team what had gone on, she would have evaded Fraiser's questions and gone home. She would have carried on in the SGC, but would have been constantly mistrustfull of her team mates, and this would have had a dibilitating affect on the team dynamics. After refusing to discuss with phsyce eval, the Commander would have forced her on leave.
Here is where the dealing starts, angry, frustarated and alone, Carter applies to take additional training in black ops. I have no idea how american military works, so the next bit is total figment of my imagination, so just go with it, people! She would go all G.I. Jane and shave off her hair. I had imagined atleast couple of scenes where she totally lays into an opponent in the training ring and has to be dragged off by other GIs. I so love to write violence.
In the training she would meet a nice officer, who is himself recovering from torture he endured in captivity. Now, there would be a lot of hot h/c sex and hand-to-hand combat. Only for Carter to be called back to the SGC in order to rescue O'Neill's team from some god forsaken chrisis.
