Okay, this is late. Like really late, and it's still not complete, but I can't help the fact that I just get these slupms in wiriting. Also the dissertation is eating into my writing and creative reserves. I wrote this today while sitting in Starbucks. I apologise for the rather rambling nature of it.

I'll see about Marian and her father. Maybe if something interesting pops up!

Loved this deeply: It is a convergence of motivations which are not the same but fit together.
And the bit about the character becoming the narrator... just a world of yes. Because it's not until that happens, until you're feeling that while you may be writing it's not your story, but theirs, that the story really opens up.
I like this He had sought her out a few times, but had, after her harsh brush off, respected her need for solitude. And to her surprise he had not questioned her why. a lot, I thinkmaybe because this incarnation of Robin has never struck me as truly in love with Marian, just the image of her. No, I know what you mean. That's probably why I find writing men so difficult, because the feminism is missing. As was said in the previous posts I love writing about the female trauma and the whole h/c aspect of it,
Robin has never struck me as truly in love with Marian, just the image of her.
Yes!! This is precicely it, and this whole point features quite heavily later on. Robin is very self-centered, and more than that I think he is very male-centered, in a different way that Guy is, because while Guy is looking to protect Marian, Robin is looking to cage her into her home (I remeber something about needlework being said, I might be wrong). That's why he can understand the situtation that Marian is in and is trying to fi it in a way that she would acceopt i.e. by marriage, rather than running away and living in a forest.
why Guy is often more interesting than Robin, ( ... )
