Voices from World War I

Looking at the war poems, I wasn’t so much struck by one particular poem, rather the alternate views expressed by various poets.  Most poems were split into two extreme views.  If you look at Dulce Et Decorum Est, by Wilfred Owen, you would say that this was the reality and that men who enlisted in that war would face these ( Read more... )

Hi there,

I'm doing really well. 13 months! Wow. Time does go fast. You've already reached the 1 year milestone. Did you have a little celebration?

Mine is turning 1 year in two week's time. He is great, walking all over the house now and keeping me very busy. But we are suckers for punishment, my husband and I. We decided to have another one soon. By that I mean in December! So if all goes well we'll have 2 who are 15 months apart. So next year is going to be a very busy year.

Is your little one walking keeping you awake at night???

yes we had a really nice celebration for his birthday/ joint christening and all lloyd's Kiwi family came over- it was beautiful. What are you doing for your little one's first birthday?

We have decided to have another one too- not as soon as you two though! you are definitely suckers for punishment... it will be very difficult, but congratulations i think its fantastic!

Kyle is definitely walking- just about running around getting into trouble. He sleeps through most nights he has from about 6 weeks- just when hes teething its horrible- which is to be expected... like last night!

How is your little one? whats his name? does he sleep through?

We had a small and quiet family get together. Actually it wasn't small or quiet. When my family gets together there's at least 20 of them! And there are about 5 kids under 5, so there was nothing quiet about it. But we had a good time.

His name is Cailan and he doesn't always sleep through the night. Everytime we get the routine happening, he gets a bit sick (like now) and we are back to square one. But that's life. He is usually a great little boy, laughs, plays and dances a lot. He loves the Wiggles.
