I guess I fail to see how this is losing a gamble. The transmission, power train, tires, brakes, interior, and just about every engineering component of the car is shared among several of the GM brands. Only some of the styling and comfort features are different. Just because you'll take your vehicle to a consolidated dealer doesn't mean that you made an unwise purchase; they're just not going to make your vehicle a year from now. There will still be service departments who can deal with any warranty issues that you might encounter.

From someone who wanted to see this company go into bankruptcy, I guess I'm surprised that you have any emotional reaction to this whatsoever.

How did you lose?

While I'm more pissed than I've even begun to vent about Pontiac going idle, there's no reason you won't still have a running and repairable car for the next decade to come.

I'm more pissed that I need to scoop up a G8 while they're still being boated across the Pacific!!!
