So healthcare is sinking Obama faster than anyone imagined.  *happy dance*

It's the insurance companies, stupid.

If malpractice is so crippling then why does Texas, with the fewest insured children, have the highest medical costs and some of the lowest malpractice awards (we have a cap in this state)?

Healthcare costs are high because most people in the healthcare industry treat it as a for profit industry.

Major fundamental changes have to happen to lower costs and help folks. A public plan and changes to health insurance are just a first step.

And anything that means I'll eventually have to pay less? Bring it. I'm tired of spending more then any other country and getting less out of it.

It sure would've been nice if I felt like dancing while George W. Bush wrecked the nation...

People are just too ignorant to grasp all the ramifications of government health care. What's worse, it would be so loaded with red tape there's no way anyone could navigate it without a comprehensive understanding of legalese. And I'm tired of the "look at Canada" argument. People who like to throw that sop need to talk to an actual Canadian, instead of relying on statistics.
