I was looking at the various Time Magazine lists of the top 100 most influential people in the world. I've never bothered to look at this thing before, but I can see now that I was better off not looking. The list would be better named "100 Most Influential People in American Media". Jay Leno had two shows, just not on the air at the same time... the Tonight Show and the Jay Leno show.

Yeah I suppose you're right. Arashi apparently have 3 shows that are currently on and numerous ones that are no longer on. Granted Japanese TV works differently, so it is easier and more common to have really short shows (1 year or less). I didn't realize there was a third one going right now though.

I'd also like to point out that I'm not a particularly big fan of Arashi. I'm basically indifferent. I'm just using them as an example of someone that I think have at least equal or greater popularity than some of the people on that list, since they are popular in multiple Asian countries (and among Japanophiles in the west as well).
