I only slept a little while. There was too much on my mind. Getting up from the bed I brushed a kiss against her forehead, crossing the floor to the window. I leaned my arm against the top frame of the window, staring out over the city. That sword was stuck in my mind, there had to be some importance to it. I knew I'd seen it somewhere before, just ( Read more... )

Of course she was following him. It was foolish for him to think she would stay behind. Dressed and armed she slipped out of the room and took to the roof tops.

Darkness still clouded the massive city. It was beautiful. Selene liked it here. Old, yet modern. Her feet hit the roof tops making a soft 'tink', like a rain drop falling. She was light on her feet and agile. Nothing like her Lycan cousins.

He needed his space, room to still stretch and be the loner he was. Selene gave that to him, but only so much. With that sword wielding woman on the loose she was not keen on his leaving with out her. Selene knew her heart would not withstand another loss. In her mind she saw that terrifying sword. By no means was she psychic but something about it was sinister, more then just a sword.

When she caught up to him, without getting close enough to be seen or sensed she slowed down. Still she hovered above him on the roofs that made the lovely skyline.

I walked along the cracked streets of a seedy marketplace, not the type you see tourists browsing through in movies. That was the difference in Japan and the U.S. They did their dealings in the open if they wanted. Hell, half the police were on the Yakuza's take. Didn't bother me none, I didn't fuck with them and they didn't fuck with me. I highly doubted they had anything to do with what had happened around me the last few days ( ... )

Like a shadow she followed. Silent, unheard and unseen. Much like the man in black on the rooftop. He was dressed like those others had been. Crouched on the corner he watched the busy crowd below.

They were watching Logan. But not for long.

The only thing not hidden by the dark fabric covering his body were his eyes. With a snap his neck cracked and broke in her delicate hands. Those eyes that watched her wandering love below went wide as his last breath escaped him. Dragging him into the shadows Selene tucked his lifeless body behind the air conditioning unit on the roof. Before she picked back up on Logan's trail she thoroughly checked the dead man for any clues. Nothing. Well, nothing but a pair of beautiful steel sais', those she was taking.

Maybe I couldn't scent her right now, but I could tell I was being stalked, or rather watched. A smirk crossed my lips. It was actually kinda seductive in a way, my woman following me. Most men were followed because of infidelity, suspicion. She was following me to keep my ass out of the trouble that seemed to constantly cross my path. I flicked my tongue over my lips and walked to the street corner, using the payphone. I dialed a couple of numbers and waited, hopefully she hadn't left her cell at the hotel.
