Everything seemed to be going so well, then yesterday I started to get an ill feeling about my timetable. Today my fears were confirmed. Basically the course I am on stipulates that I should have no more than an 80% timetable, fine I havn't. There are rules about this sort of thing, rules that it sounds like your school is in danger of breaking. A chat with your mentor should be step one, followed possibly with a phonecall to your college/where-ever course co-ordinator. IIRC The school is paid a lump of cash to provide adequate support.

You are quite right, I searched through some of the notes I made when I went to the induction day at the College that runs the course, this is what they said and what I was expecting;

Teaching Load - WORKING up to a MAXIMUM of 40% time where the trainee has sole responsibility for the class, where competant to take the class.

I am so having words with the appropriate people tomorrow.
