While I'm not as passionate about it anymore, I still like Clay and buy all of his music. I don't know why anyone would hate him now other than the fact that he came out. I hate saying that, but I know some of his "biggest fans" were delusional about it and probably turned on him the second that he did. It's really sad. I guess he also said some things about disliking what American Idol has become, but I'm certainly not going to fault him for that because I agree. I stopped watching 2 or 3 seasons ago.

Besides, On My Way Here was by far the best music he's made. Tried and True is good too, but I was disappointed by another cover album.

I should clarify that the reason why I'm not as much of a huge fan anymore is just because I haven't liked his new albums as much, has nothing to do with him being gay & the baby thing. I'm proud of him for coming out!

I'm not super psyched that he's got another cover album out, but I'll just wait for the next non-covers one. :-) Sometimes I don't listen to his music for a while, but I would never just "ditch him," as you say.

I still love him, but not with the manic insanity of when I was a teenager ;)

I mean, I buy his music and I'll go to a show if he's nearby, but I'm just really disappointed with the way his career has gone. I have NO idea why he thought it would be a good idea to start doing covers. As if he needed more reason for people to make claims that he isn't relevant x_x I would love to see another album of pop songs like Measure of a Man - basically the album we were SUPPOSED to get after the Jukebox Tour (I think) with Just You and Back for More and all those fun, catchy new songs he premiered on the road *sigh*

Yeah, I would have been so much happier if we'd gotten that album after the Jukebox Tour. I really, really liked the songs he premiered on the road. I didn't expect him to do even more covers once he was done with RCA. :/

I also agree, I'm still grieving the loss of that album. I loved those songs.

I'll always <3 Clay, but I don't really keep up with him anymore. The music's just not really my thing. His voice is still amazing though!

I miss the pop songs - Back for More was great - why did it disappear into oblivion?
