For those of you that didn't notice my away message (and not that you are going to read this and care if you missed that!) but I made it to Fairfield safely. There were a few issues in getting here though. I was going to stop by and see itsyspy70 but I got out of Irvine late and we decided she wouldn't have time since she already had other things planned

Ah, that rest stop before the 580/5 interchange. Know that one well.

I used to be able to make the trip on one stop in Buttonwillow, but lately, I'm drinking too many drinks on the way up, and have to stop at that rest stop usually.

I usually just stop in Kettleman City, empty my tank and fill up the Gremlin...but moving all the shit yesterday had me dehydrated so I was drinking more...hence more stops.
