[Of course Sasuke would wake up after that undignified little display. He looks over, trying to feign sleepiness and calmness--normally easy to do, although right now he's feeling decidedly off--with a little grin.]
[Sasori doesn't speak for a long moment. When he finally does, he's subdued.]
...Deidara.
Feeling nothing...it's...
[Better. Easier. Desirable.
This is what he believes, he knows it. Everything would be so much easier if he could feel nothing, that's what he's always believed, since the day he'd found out the truth.
But that was before. Before he had friends and comrades. Before he had a partner. Before he had a wife.
But...how did he get from there to here? And where is here, really, if those ingrained and natural impulses to deny feeling remain, when he is loved and accepted, when he himself wants to love and accept?
He doesn't know anymore, doesn't know what to tell Deidara. To reassure his partner that it's right to feel nothing, or tell him that it's wrong.

Sasori sighs.]
Nevermind.

It's just a dream, right? [His voice sounds uncertain--he tries to squish the tone.]

Sasori reassures, in the way that's most natural for himself, and for them both: hidden behind irritation.]
Hmph, of course it was. I wouldn't have been able to see it otherwise, would I?
Clearly, you must have hit that foolish head of yours harder than I thought.
