This is my 411th LJ entry. It is also going to be among my last, as I have been given the opportunity to blog elsewhere. I'm looking forward to it. I'll still comment on your journals, but I will probably not make many (if any) of my own. Details and destinations are forthcoming.

I tried that once, but the truth is: everybody uses LJ. To that effect, you'll have less (or at bare minimum, different) readers if you move to another site. I used xanga and multiply for awhile, and had separate groups of readers, but none of the RL ones ever meandered over there unless i mirror-posted on LJ :)

That's my spooky, ominous forewarning :)

I'm excited about this new blog. I plan to do it in a way that people will want to spend the extra clicks to read it. If they don't, that's up to them. This place has also given me the option of paying for a domain that they would host. I'm thinking pacmanhat.com may become a reality in the near future.

That's not cool. How will I read your site? I don't go to individual blog sites . . . that's WHY I chose LJ. It saves time!

I'll be happy to give you the link so you can bookmark it or whatever. If you don't, that's up to you. One of my hopes for this move is that I can make longer entries that don't fill up people's friends pages and such. It's all me, all the time, as it were. But either way, I'll be sure to let you (and everyone else) know, and each individual can use their discretion as to whether or not my thoughts are worth reading if it involves clicking on a few extra buttons.

I don't care where you post hun as long as your happy than I'm happy. I do agree with Jay though mirror posting is a good idea. As I always say, ultimatly it's up to you.

Is it 1up.com?

It seems like that might be something you'd go for. Once EGM started advertising it, a bunch of people i know ended up signing up to see what it was like.

It's through a message board I go to for a band I really like. They wanted to promote more forms of community interaction, so they set up a blog site for active members of the board (so...sorta like 1up, but not entirely). They use WordPress and do it all themselves. I'm quite impressed, honestly. Hopefully, you'll see what I mean by the end of the day.
