I just got back from the most dreaded babysitting job ever. Bad story, yes. But I still think "I love you" is best. I mean, I agree with what you said before, but at least in my and others' circumstances it applies, because they're not IN love with the other person. I thought of being "in love" with someone as opposed to "loving" them is showing that they already have an established relationship and they are going through the journey together. Saying "I love you" may mean that the love is unrequited.......

oh so you think saying "i love you" means the love is unrequired... hmmm see thats where i would disagree. i get what you're saying, but still think that "im in love with you" has more of a meaning.

I think it depends on circumstance entirely. I mean, I for one would probably find it more meaningful in my case to use "I love you" in the context, because "I'm in love with you" sounds almost too casual, or too intimate for me. But then again, that's just my opinion.
