I appear to not be a typical white person. I have never suffered from yellow fever, liking girls of any ethnicity equally. I have only seen one of those movies and thought that although it had some funny parts, it was mostly sad (Royal Tenenbaums). I'm okay with the outdoors, but I don't pursue them. Don't really care about Obama. I like diversity in more than my food. I don't care for organic food. I don't go to farmer's markets. I never made any assists in the 10 years I played ice-hockey, 'course I only made 3 goals and had a different job than scoring for the most part (defense). I don't go to film festivals. I am of the same religion as my parents and I don't drink coffee. Hmm, what does that say about my identity?
To be honest, not much. This blog also doesn't talk about Nascar, country music, or Christianity, which a pretty large number of white people like outside of this blog's readership. It's a bit of a conceit that this blog is only really about whites in the Coastal states or the Midwest, and then it's only talking about the majority of them.

Nono, you're missing the point. 'white people' is synonymous with 'yuppie'. I'm really glad that Whole Foods is on there. Study Abroad? Yes, please. Difficult Breakups? Ohman. Divorce? Sign me up. Things they need: Shopping for Charity (like GAP's Red thing.. buy a $200 shirt) Wine and Cheese parties.
And I was going to take offense with the nascar, country music and Christianity thing... and then I realized that I only really like the middle one.
No, I don't think you did. But that's the best part! It's like.. if you're going to harp on how bad a book is, you really shouldn't read it. I told you I got to see Salman Rushie speak, yes?
