A local comic shop is giving me a free ticket to the midnight show of the Iron Man movie in return for using my helmet for their display.  That's pretty neat.  I finally bit the bullet and started on the armor, beginning with the stomach pieces.  I figure it's best to first tackle the pieces that you're most afraid of.

So Joe came up with a brilliant idea to make foam lightsabers out of duct tape, PVC pipe, and pool noodles.  We're going to be using them in the upcoming Star Wars marathon, and we gave them a thorough test-run at Jesse's house and then later on at Corey's.  There's something satisfying about blocking an incoming attack and countering with a whomp ( Read more... )

So I've upgraded.

When I started here at the firm, I had a nice office, but it was very much temporary.  Within three months, I had to move to the plan room, which then became my office.  It was windowless, dingy, and full of drawings.  There was really no possible way to make it look nice, but I enjoyed the steampunk aspect of being the resident ( Read more... )
