My answer to spelling queries is to bring up WORD, type it in there, and wait for the red line to appear underneath. There is a simple solution to your affliction. Go live in Britian. Pronouncing aluminum as if it was spelled aluminium was always a fav of mine. Renaissance is pronounced renee-sance. You can pretty much make it up as you go along and nobody would notice.
