"That's Uranus!"
"You're not funny, Connor."
"No, really, look!"
Abby ignored him, turning away, trying to find a comfortable spot on the rough, hard branches of the huge tree that protected them.
Connor stayed awake, keeping watch. If there was a sound he'd be alert, trying to see by the light of their fire below, watching for something that might suddenly attack. Mostly there was silence and he could lean back, looking up through the branches of the tree, gazing at the stars.
They hadn't changed so very much. It was the one thing that still linked them to home.
