“It’s bigger,” Connor said finally. There wasn’t a lot else to say. It wasn’t his ADD any more, just something based on it.
“You created the original,” Jess reminded him brightly.
He had. It seemed a million years ago now. Another lifetime. He reached out and tapped a couple of buttons experimentally. Jess’s hand twitched, probably itching to slap his away. It was her baby now, after all.
“I can go through what they all do, if you like?” she offered.
Experimenting was more fun. But they were lodging with Jess. Perhaps he should behave?
“That’ll be great,” he managed.
