Epiphany
The dinosaurs had shocked her, but Jess hadn't been surprised when she was shown footage of the anomalies
She'd seen one before, after all.
Seven years old, with her friend Ellie, sneaking out to the woods at the back of Ellie's house even though they knew they weren't supposed to leave the garden.
It was so pretty, hanging there glowing brightly. And then they found it was magical too, a real gateway to Narnia.
They ran back, both excited and afraid, to tell Ellie's mother.
Years later, learning about anomalies, Jess finally realised why Ellie never saw her mother again.
