Realities
After three years spent chasing anomalies, Ryan didn't think he could be surprised by anything that came through one. Dinosaurs, Victorian ladies, knights, a little old lady out walking her dog...
It looked ordinary enough, out there in the woods. As ordinary as a rift in time could possibly be.
And when he saw an unmistakably human figure coming through he raised his gun as he always did
And froze.
He knew that face. Scarred, older than the pictures, but there was no mistaking.
It was impossible. Captain Becker died in the Permian three years ago. Ryan had replaced him.
