Slipping
He was there again, the man who was starting to haunt Matt's dreams.
Matt wondered why his future self was so cryptic. Surely he could tell him what had gone wrong? He kept returning but Matt was none the wiser.
Dirty, wild-eyed, Future Matt leaned in his face and screamed: "I told you to go back! Why won't you go back?!"
Cursing, he turned and ran back through the anomaly.
"He's mad," Emily breathed. "Something's driven him insane." She touched Matt's arm sympathetically. "I'm sorry."
Matt stared at the closing anomaly. He thought he knew what the cause might be.
