I have rage!

Needless to say the drive to Columbus this evening was frightful. I drove at a moderate speed of 40 to 50 mph. I went to pass a semi that was driving extremely slow and this moron in a beamer rode my ass the entire time that I was in the passing lane. Once I got back in the right lane he sped past me at around 65 mph, which was way to fast for ( Read more... )

It was at my uncle's friend's house in St. Clairsville. Remember how my cousin sang that cranberries song over and over again while we were shooting pool. "Zoommbbiee, Zommmbbiiiee, etc, etc,". You kept telling her to shut up. You were generally pissed off at my cousin. I look back on it now and am thoroughly amused. Those were the golden days....

You're watching the Golden Globes?

Awards shows have always been a mixed bag for me. I think it's dumb to sit and declare winners like art is some kind of contest. How can you say someone was a better actor when they didn't play the same character? But at the same time, it's nice to see things like lifetime achievement awards, and there are some cases where there's a clear winner, so it's nice to see it acknowledged.

Eric and I watched them last night. It was on and looked interesting. It was fun to see all of the best films and actors of the past year highlighted. I see what you're saying though. There was a lot of good stuff to choose from, and I didn't always agree with their choices.

Michael Douglas got the Cecille B. DeMille(sp?) life-time achievement award. I enjoy his films a lot, but I couldn't help thinking someone more worthy had to be around. Maybe they've already gotten their awards?

Michael Douglas is a pretty important guy in the history of Hollywood.

Yeah, I've seen some of his later stuff, but I love Romancing the Stone, Jewel of the Nile, and War of the Roses. The one where Demi Moore sexually harasses him is good, too. And there is one where I think he designs a computer and gets his mind trapped in it or something. It was pretty good too. And his Dad, Kirk, is just great too. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is an early favorite of mine.
