kaboom!

Sometimes my mind likes to play tricks on me. (No, not like the goddamn Geto Boys.) I'll think something's safely tucked away, and then out of nowhere, something will trigger it. I liken these things to psychic landmines, where you're happily walking along and all of a sudden there's shrapnel and blood everywhere. This probably doesn't make much ( Read more... )

Leilani has a good word for those. "ghosts". Mine like to tap me on the shoulder at the worst possible time. One of these days I'm going to have a sit down talk with them.

Never.

Yeah, I can sort of see 'ghosts'. My head treats 'em like explosives, though, so I'm sticking with landmines.

Hey Erik,

I'm moving to West Oakland - well, I actually moved this week but I still have a small, like a back seat full, load of things here in San Rafael. I was wondering, and I'd be happy to pay you for this, if you could come up here and take my stuff back to Oakland, right near the McArthur BART station - just past 48th on West street.

Sooner is better, but it's not like it's going anywhere and my now former roomate is not worried about it sitting around for a few days.

I don't know your email address, so I'm just commenting here.

My phone number is 415-305-0476 or email thom@thomfowler.com

Sometimes my brain works against me too in that same way. I dunno why, I always thought we were in this together, my brain and I.

My brain and I have an understanding on such matters: it doesn't ambush me with painful psychic boobytraps, and I don't unleash alcoholic oblivion upon its remaining cellular constituents. It's a delicate balance of power we've struck, won only at the price of untold carnage on both sides - but it seems to be holding at present moment. YM, of course, MV.
