"The Defense Department has created an online site seeking anonymous opinions from servicemembers and their families about the possible repeal of the military's 'don't ask, don't tell' policy.  Except that the opinions aren't necessarily anonymous.  Many family members can't access the website.  And i's not clear exactly what kind of feedback ( Read more... )

Hit the nail on the head, mate. I can't stand how small-minded people still are about things that don't pertain to them, that have no bearing on their daily lives, and how they feel they need to openly condemn others for it, good human beings or not.

AND-- How's it been? Long time no see.. Do you still work on military aircraft? You did mechanical type work, right?
WELL.. I work on airplanes too now! Not military, but I'll be right alongside the 767 tankers when we get that deal, and if they move me down to Renton, I'll be working by (possibly on) the P8s. :D
Did you know Victor got married? To a hottie, no less?

It's been. I'm still a crew chief, though I shuffle around between work sections frequently. Currently I'm maintaining a tool crib while deployed to Kyrgyzstan. Kind of ironic that if the Air Force ever manages to settle on a contract, you might end up taking my job.

And Victor getting hitched is hard enough to believe. Maybe joining the marines finally made his balls drop.
