what happened?

a friend of mine from school had a cat who got pregnant and had a litter. In a month, the mom kitty and the kittens had died, with no symptoms of anything. When she took them to the vet afterwards, the doctor said that the male cat had given the mother cat some sort of virus, the she had incubated during the pregnancy, Maybe something like that happened.

we dont know what happened, the vet had no idea. some sort of brain damage or illness i suppose. but still, too sad.
