There is a transition period when you are dating someone.  You go from trying to show the best side of yourself so they will be attracted to you to showing the rest of yourself so they know what they are getting into.  This is, frankly, new to me because none of my previous relationships lasted longer than 6 months.  I am almost a year and a half
