Byron is doing a research paper for school on the Battle of Hampton Roads. It has been interesting to watch him, this is his first big research paper. Most of it is being done in class, and his teacher is work with them on how to write a research paper. Byron’s writing is really good. He is very imaginative

If I wanted to cause trouble, I'd suggest that Byron could describe his paper as "a post-modern research paper", particularly if he alternated passages from the point of view of the sailor and stuff that more directly reflected the teacher's ideas of what a research paper is.

But that would be bad ... so I won't mention it.

The idea might amuse his teacher. She would smile and then tell him again that it had to be in third person. She would remind him that this is a research paper .... so write it like a research paper.

Kristen has young kids an is used to smiling at kids and then getting them back on task.

I really like his teacher, she only lives about a block and a half from us.
