I know I have several Seattle residents reading my journal, and this struck a chord with me. There's nothing I hate more than people protesting something they don't even understand. Please read the details and send a letter or something.

I KNOW! While I can see someone arguing that two giant pink jets is tacky looking, I don't see how anyone could look at the proposed sculpture and equate it with "WAR IS AWESOME!" I think two pink fighter jets kissing says a lot of things, but being pro-military isn't one of them, unless the Air Force has decided to open up their color palette.

Seconded. When I read about people being offended by it, I rolled my eyes big time, but since I don't love the proposed art, I didn't step up to tell the dumb hippies what's what. But Maybe I will email someone to show some support.

I would take bunnies, too, but I would prefer unicorns and pegasi.
