I fixed my X-box! Yesterday I spent the early parts in the day painting. After noon Kat returned from work and Matt came over to hang out so we just hung around and watched movies. Now that we're moved into the house, the daunting task of home ownership is in full swing. We're not really settled in yet. The upstairs needed a complete repainting (not counting problems in the bathroom), so we've set up a temporary base camp/sleeping quarter in the dining room downstairs. Kat had her ultrasound yesterday. It's a boy! Oh, and we have a house now.

Event's over. Now I'm going to be closing on the house tomorrow. We have our walk through at 10 and the actual closing at 1. Afterwards we begin whatever cleaning is necessary, then painting at least 2 of the bedrooms (current owners wrote all over the walls), then actually moving. A bunch of stuff going on. We're right in the middle of all of the home buying craziness. We've signed our agreements. Now I'm waiting on the appraisal and home inspections to be done. Once that's over with, I should have my insurance binder, then my loan, then we sign for it. Closing day is still set for the 31st. It can't come soon enough ( Read more... )

In other news: We put in an offer on a house yesterday and today it was accepted. We're looking at a closing date of July 31st. I can't wait!

I was up early on Saturday morning and worked for a few hours. Afterwards I got to work on repairing the apartment. I went out to Home Depot and got a bunch of stuff...
