i had a wonderful birthday! nice and quiet, no diaper changes and capped off by seeing harry potter in imax and eating arabic food for dinner! yum and yum!

wow, being 29 is soooo great!

so this past weekend i just happened to be in the chicago area, and i went to the kwik e mart! hilarious. it wasn't as busy as i thought it would be. i had to get an orange cream squishee instead of a yummy coke one because they were out and it was in the process of mixin' a new batch...to make up for it i treated myself to a "homer" donut. yesterday i ran the dexter-ann arbor 10k in 1 hour 4 minutes and 56 seconds. like all things in ann arbor, the finish was an up hill battle. but i ran in to a friend in high school, one that i didn't mind seeing and was sorry to have lost touch with. sometimes the world is very small.

i think i have what they call an addictive personality. my addiction is to doing races. i am doing the dexter-ann arbor 10k this weekend, a 5k on the forth of july and a triathlon in september. and i think i am going to sign up for the "run thru hell" 10 mile in hell, michigan. it's not like i'm fast or anything, or that i am out to win, it's ( Read more... )

so the kids and i went to the game today, my uncle had some spare tickets. apparently no one wanted to spend the day sitting in the 90 degree sun watching the tigers, including him. it was awesome! i was a little hesitant because i went alone with the kids, usually there is at least one other somewhat helpful adult with me, but this time it was ( Read more... )
