Welp, if any of y'all are reading the recaps instead of watching the show, or before watching the show to know when to scream and cover your eyes, this is the recap for you.As a side note, if you enjoyed the recaps enough to read them a second time, sometimes I go back and link to conversations we end up having in the comments, because God knows I ( Read more... )

Looking forward to more of Team Sassy Science. Jimmy's one-liners need more screentime. Also, having seen Ouef/Ceuf/whatever in full, Zeller makes this amazingly catty comment to Will at one point during the case, so between that and him being Freddie's source in Amuse-bouche, I wonder if that jealousy aspect is going to boil over at some point.

Well, now you have to tell me what he says!

Hahaha okay, pulling up my download:

So they're talking about their family dynamics as Will's standing in the corner, and Zeller looks over at him and says, "Let me guess: only child."

And Will is like, "... why do you say that?"

To which Zeller replies, "Because family friction is usually a catalyst for personality development."

AND THERE'S NOTHING REMOTELY BANTER-Y ABOUT IT, there is this, like, barely-concealed glaring between them for the rest of the scene. (And Will kind of zings him back about being a classic middle child, lol.) Makes me wonder what's going to happen there.

OH, BURNT! What was THAT, Brian? Actually, it makes me wonder if there was something that explains why he doesn't like Will cut out even earlier in the season, because I couldn't figure out why Brian would have given Freddie information in the first place. Like, he was already a weak link in the chain (as it were) by the second episode.

... this also lends a bit more weight to Will correcting him on the Jim Morrison thing.

I KNOW, RIGHT. I was kind of startled at the intensity of it, haha. I was always wondering about the backstory with him as Freddie's source, but that scene makes it pretty clear that he just does NOT like Will. I was surprised that Beverly and Jimmy and Crawford just sort of carried on the conversation, considering the pure CONTEMPT-OFF going on between Will and Brian for the rest of the scene.

And yeah, rewatching the Jim Morrison bit in Coquilles, it is totally more awkward now. He does tend to give Will a look every time he's corrected.

Well then. Dislike Will all you want, dude, but I am not fond of underminers. And if that weird giving Freddie information thing was indicative of a larger attitude problem, well, Brian can go get et, as far as I'm concerned. You go try some of this shit in front of Lecter, see how far that gets you.

(Whyyyy did we not get to see this?!)

AHAHAHAHA YES. He's gonna be in trouble if he snits at Will in front of Lecter. I just wish Alana had been there. "RUDE, BRIAN, SHOCKINGLY RUDE."

(I KNOWWWW. In general, all the good stuff was in the webisodes, but there were some interesting little moments with the FBI characters that weren't too entrenched with the disturbing content and could have gone online as well.)

Man, I HOPE that is what they are actually leading up to. "Where'd Brian go?" "I dunno, you coming with us to Dr. Lecter's for dinner tonight?"

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

For his own sake, he'd better start acting nicer, or he will make a very delicious liver pate for Jack to gush over at the next dinner party.

You know you've written your Gentleman Cannibal well when viewers are all, "man, I can't wait for this guy to get eaten. He's a douche."
