So basically I'm dying of a sinus infection that's settled into my chest over here, which adds an extra layer of grossness to the proceedings in my head. My head, which is full of blarg.

I don't think Will can quite figure it out, either. Like, there are a lot of pieces he has, and he can see they go together in a picture, but he doesn't know what the picture is yet.

You know, it finally occurred to me this morning--Will's been so uneasy about the entire concept of therapy, right? And I think he's maybe been kind of standoffish with Lecter because of that--"How does that make YOU feel?," etc. But now he sees Lecter being really good at something he does understand, and he has a new respect for him? "So why did you quit doing that?" he asks, basically. And the answer he gets makes sense to him--"I fix minds instead of bodies, and no one's died as a result of my therapy." So maybe he actually had a positive realization instead of a negative one?

I'm figuring there's a certain amount of mental blockage, too. I mean, Will's kind of opened up to Lecter a bit and there's a level of trust. So when you trust someone (even to a limited extent) they're hardly the first person on your mental Serial Killer Suspect List.

Yeah, I guess it's the People in Dracula Don't Know They're in Dracula thing again. They don't suspect him, because how likely is it that the guy you work/socialize with is a vampire serial killer? Miriam and Book!Will were able to pin him immediately because they had limited information--unclouded by any personal acquaintance, so they immediately saw the Wound Man connection. Whereas Show!Will has a ton of extraneous information he could start rationalizing with--"Well, he's seen the crime scene photos, he's interested in all kinds of weird esoteric things, maybe he just wanted to sketch it after we told him about the Miriam thing, maybe he was trying to help me understand it, even..."
