First thing this morning I took 12 Girl Scouts (ages 11-13) to Duke City Fencing for a Fencing workshop. WOW! These folks are awesome. I've got to hand it to the instructor & her helpers, they ROCKED. Yes, they were playing with the foil - but she is greatly intrigued by the Saber - especially since the instructor is fond of it as well - and demonstrated it with great relish! And it's funny - she hones in on her goal and is very good at getting to know her opponent's strengths & weaknesses, then goes for the kill.

I'm just not sure how I'm supposed to feel about both daughters passions revolving around sports with weapons. Gee - you'd think they were my kids or something! (I used to be quite handy with a rifle "back in the day") *wink*
