Tired of it....

So, I don't know, but I am getting so tired of trying to search for guys. I don't think I am searching in entirely the wrong places either. I went to fed hill with Amanda and there were TONS of guys and really cute ones too... my age... and they didn't look cocky. Well, needless to say, we talked to 3 English/British guys in their 50's and I got ( Read more... )

i forget where i read or heard this, but it was along the lines of this: meeting a great guy to have a serious relationship with very rarely happens in bars because when you're out a bar, a lot of guys just have ONE thing on their mind, and all you have in common is a like of music and booze. i just recently read that too!

i've been debating chemistry.com as well. i've been having a string of bad luck, which i've told you all about already! i don't really want to resort to online dating because i don't see the point in paying money to find a boyfriend, but i'm going a little stir-crazy after nearly a year of being single. so maybe.

I looked at chemistry.com and you have to set up your profile even before you look at profiles for guys. That was how eharmony worked and they totally sucked me into paying b/c the curiousity was killing me! So, I looked at match.com and there are a few potential guys! At least on match.com there are younger and more attractive guys. I even looked at the females and there is some competiton but not an extrodinary amount... join with me!
PS- I definately agree... I am just getting so discouraged after saturday night. NO ONE talked to us except for 50yr olds. :(

chemistry.com and match.com are owned by the same company. on match.com, you have to pay to talk to anyone you're interested in (or so i thought...i'd been told this by my boss), right? same goes for chemistry.com. i joined chemistry.com a few days ago, but i haven't ponied up any money. they send you matches, you don't look for them, which i actually prefer because they base it on you as a person, and it's not you going "oh, i think he's cute!" and basing it on looks. plus, you can choose when matches are able to view your photos (i'm not one of those people who does that, but it's an option) and can have matches sent to you that definitely don't want kids (i'll admit, i DO have that as a high priority). give me a better reason to join match.com and i certainly will! i think i just need someone who's already a member and having a good experience to convince me of it. i'm just wary of the sites that let you sift through profiles.
