Definitely check out the lakefront parks such as Edgewater in Cleveland, or Lakewood Park if you happen to be in Lakewood. You should be able to get to both by RTA bus. Someone already mentioned the West Side Market and the area around it has quite a few cool little bars and restaurants, as does Coventry (though not as many restaurants as it once had). Right on the Case Western campus you have the Museum of Art and Severance Hall (for classical music type concerts) which are nice places to visit. If you'd like to see some theatre, Playhouse Square is downtown and also accessible by public transportation
