"Hi." Li decides not to return the bow, even from a sitting position, because his bottom few ribs are still causing him pain. Hanatarou won't think him rude, right? "I'm okay. How about you?"

"Very well," he says automatically as he pulls up a chair to the bedside and removes his first-aid bag. "Thank you. Can you tell me what kinds of injuries you have?" (It's not his intention to seem cold and businesslike, but he figures there will be more than enough time for small talk once healing is underway.)

Li of course knows that taking off his shirt is inevitable. But he doesn't want to do it before being asked. According to his logic, that would seem forward. Or something. Not like his chest is all that sexy right now, anyway.

"Well, anyway..." Hanatarou begins (why is Li acting so meek and submissive?? :x ). "... Are you doing anything interesting these days?" (Aside from being tortured and then convalescing from torture. This part is unspoken, but hopefully it gets through.)

"Well, I was looking for a place to live somewhere on my world. I had thought the Nexus was kind of dangerous before and, well... this kind of cinches it, you know?" The implied meaning of the 'was' and the 'before' is of course, 'before I got tortured'. Hopefully, that gets through, as well. "And of course I haven't spent the whole time since in bed-- oh! Dr. Ock is apparently making some sort of device that keeps you from getting kidnapped with a PINpoint. Or something. I don't really remember how that works. But I went to go give him a couple of old watches to use as casing."
And who doesn't have a few broken watches lying around? Especially if you do stupid things, like jump off of perfectly good bridges.

Also, he probably doesn't completely understand the question. "Well, it's a pretty common phenomenon, which is why it's good that someone is finally doing something about it.
"But I didn't mean to imply that you personally have that problem. U-unless you do...?"
