For just_muse_me: Complicated Life

The Doctor does not believe in fate. He believes in time. He believes that things have a way they are meant to be and that though flux may occur, though events will change, in the end time will eventually take it’s course and whatever will be will be.

It sounds very similar, but it’s not. ( It's really not. )

Oh, Ten. Always able to change bits, but not all the bits that matter.

Liked the way you put the story together in all directions-gives a good sense of what it might be like for the Doctor, living without reference to other folks' continuities.

Wow, thank you! =D I was really worried about the structure of this one, whether I'd missed anything, if I had it all straight...ish. It took a bit of mapping out.

I'm a big fan of that conflict, of what he can do and what he can't do. I'm fascinated by the idea of knowing what comes next, but being unable to do anything about it, just having to sit and watch. I'm glad you like this, I was really, really worried about it! =D

I love the way this doesn't go in order and Ten has to try and piece together what did happen and what will happen.

Thanks! =D I love things that mess around chronology, where sometimes knowing what happens can just lead to more mystery. I'm so glad you liked this, I was really worried it wasn't going to make sense!

Oh my God, thank you so much!! =D I've always wanted to do something totally out of chronological order, I was worried it wouldn't make any sense when I was finished.

Plus, I have this thing about fate and self-fulfilling prophecies. They're fascinating, and I've always wanted to find a way to do something like this. I'm SO glad you liked it, thank you so much!

Oh, I love this, and the way the Doctor has to piece everything together. Excellently done.

Thank you so much! =D I love things that go out of order, so it's up to you to figure out what happened when and what comes next. I'm so glad you liked it, I was so worried it wouldn't work! =D

Oooh, wow, you played with the ordering of this so well. It created a good amount of tension and sadness but definitely made me just as curious as the Doctor. I loved that it was a normal crime and not something alien that killed her. And the way she met the Doctor after he already knew how she'd die.

It was completely brilliant.

Wow! Thank you so much!! =D I was really, really worried about the ordering in this, if it would be too confusing, or too obvious, or really too anything. I love things that go out of order though, and I've always wanted to write one!

I'm so glad you liked it! Thank you!
